An Eggciting Easter Awaits This April In Meeru

The entire month of April will be full of delightful dining experiences offering delicious dishes and stunning views. To begin the month with a toast at the Sunset Lagoon Wine Tasting: an opportunity to sample fine wines in an idyllic setting. Experience The Best Snorkelling In The Maldives At Meeru

Over the years, the Maldives has come to be known as a snorkelling destination of great repute. Complementing the general beauty of this tropical paradise is an azure lagoon that is crystal-clear and teeming with a wide and unique variety of marine life. Meeru Island Resort & Spa offers the opportunity to enjoy all that the Maldives has to offer, including the best snorkelling.

Explore the magical underwater world in Meeru as you swim alongside beautiful tropical fish, and marvel at the swaying coral. In these waters, it is common to spot schools of fish, manta rays, moray eels, blacktip reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, lobsters and more.

For beginners seeking to start snorkelling, Meeru has you covered. Our in-house professional dive centre, Euro-Divers, offers snorkelling lessons and equipment rental services. Alternatively, you can bring in your snorkelling equipment or buy some from our gift shop. The expert team will show you the ropes and soon enough, you’ll be ready to go on snorkelling adventures.

If you are a confident snorkeller, call your buddy and head over to the Snorkelling Trail on the northern tip of the island. The easily visible floating buoys mark the trail to follow from the beach to the snorkelling site and back. As always do not touch or step on the coral, or feed the marine life. For safety, be mindful of the current and avoid over-exerting yourself.

Every day from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:30 to 16:30, join the free, guided snorkelling boat trip and explore the Indian Ocean with friends. While you can snorkel all year round, the best time to snorkel in the Maldives is between January and April. World Turtle Day, In Photos

Today is World Turtle Day! A day when turtles are #shellebrated, get it? May 23 is observed the world over to create awareness of and share knowledge about the protection of turtles. The sea turtles that abound in Meeru Island Resort & Spa waters are part of a species that has lived for more than 150 years! The way you travel to Meeru to seek sun, sea and sand, sea turtles often travel for thousands of miles, crossing oceans as they feed, before returning home. The common species spotted around here is the Olive Ridley Sea Turtle. Here are our favourite photos of sea turtles taken by you.

An Exciting Easter Ahead In Meeru
