56th Maldives Independence Day Celebration at Meeru Island
July 26, 2021 marked the 56th Independence Day of the Maldives, and the palm-fringed paradise of Meeru Island Resort & Spa honoured this joyous occasion where team members and guests alike gathered together for the flag hoisting ceremony, including various activities to share the deep-rooted local customs and traditions of the island nation.
The day saw the unique beauty of the Maldivian culture and history, featuring traditional performances accompanied by the beats of 'Bodu Beru' drums.
Guests and team members had the opportunity to learn more about the history of the independence of the Maldives through the inspiring speech given by the management of Meeru Island.
