An Exciting Easter Ahead In Meeru

Our Easter basket is full to the brim with activities this month. We have put together various fun activities for the little ones to enjoy as you celebrate Easter in Meeru Island Resort & Spa. From Friday, April 19, 2019, to Wednesday, April 24, 2019, kids will be in for many, many treats as we engage in fun and joyous activities.

We start on Friday with kids’ day out at the sand bank, for fun in the sun and sand. The eggciting programme also includes an Easter egg hunt, sand castle building competition, water polo, egg & coconut painting and so much more. Download the full program here.

Message from the General Manager, April

Sunny greetings from Meeru Island Resort & Spa!

With the closing of the first quarter of 2019, I would like to say thank you to all of our amazing friends and guests that have stayed with us over the past three months. It has been my pleasure to meet so many of you and hear your kind words about your experiences at Meeru.

As part of our ongoing environmental awareness and conservation programs, I am pleased to announce that Meeru has now partnered with Parley for the Oceans to avoid, intercept and redesign plastics products on and around our island.

Meeru is not only popular for the beautiful white beaches, palm trees and the glorious tropical weather; the waters around the island are home to a variety of marine life. We would recommend adding snorkelling and diving in Meeru to your bucket list. Our Euro-Divers Dive and Water Sports Centre are offering fantastic deals from the beginning of April 2019 until the end of August 2019 with a 15% Discount on the course fee for scuba diving courses. March Updates From Meeru Island Resort & Spa

Warm greetings to you all from Meeru Island!

The month of February blessed us with cloudless skies, endless sunshine and cooling sea breezes. It is also a great month of the year to catch up with many of our returning guests who chose the month of February for their Maldives vacation. A special welcome and thank you to our dear friends: Mr Solaas who joined us for his 39th visit, and Mrs Mueller who returned for the 34th time.

In February the amazing marine activity continued around the waters of Meeru Island with regular sightings of the Mantas during our yacht trips, amazing sports fishing excursions and daily appearances of the playful dolphins on the sunset cruise.

We have now inaugurated the new and improved Meeru futsal pitch with an enhanced lighting system for night time play. So next time you stay with us, please feel free to come and join the Meeru staff for a friendly game of futsal under lights in the cooler evening climate. A special thank you to the Directors of Meeru Island for the fantastic upgrade to our already outstanding sports facilities.

Here at Meeru, we are always glad to receive our valued guests’ feedback, and in an effort to reduce paper usage we have created an online version of our guest questionnaire that can be accessed via the WiFi log-in homepage here on the island. Once again, Meeru has been granted the HolidayCheck Award for Most Popular Hotel. Awarded to the top ten hotels in a region, the accolade recognises properties that are popular with holidaymakers. The selection process is based on over 950,000 traveller reviews and bestowed to hotels that have a minimum rating of 5.0 out of 6.0 and a recommendation rate of at least 90%. As we begin the new year of 2019, I would like to thank all of our dear friends and guests of Meeru for your continued support and patronage.

Thanks to your support, especially in the form of outstanding reviews and feedback, Meeru has once again been awarded the TUI Holly Award 2019. This is the highest accolade that can be awarded to a hotel or resort by the worldwide TUI Group of travel companies.

This year, we will continue our subtle enhancements around the resort and evolve our offerings and continue our work on revitalising the coral reefs with our coral nursery and planting around the lagoon.
