In our latest edition of Meeru Meet The Team, we go out to sea to meet Mohamed Ismail. Nicknamed Keyolhu, Ismail is the Captain of Meeru-14. He lets us in on his favourite things and the secret to being great at his job.
What do you like most about your job?
I like that my job allows me to be out at sea. Since I was a child, I have always loved the ocean. I would spend my time swimming, snorkelling and fishing on small dhonis. Now, as a Captain of Meeru-14, I take guests on fishing trips, which makes me truly happy.
What are your hobbies?
In my free time, I love going fishing, watching movies and playing indoor games like Carom and Table Tennis.
What do you like most about the resort?
What I love about Meeru is the caring management who look after our welfare and my friendly team members.
What is the secret to being a good Captain?
The secret to being a good Captain or working in Guest Transport is to be punctual and always ready. You must strive to keep the vessels clean and tidy. It helps to have a can-do attitude and to respect everyone.
What is your greatest dream?
My dream is to continue providing excellent service and keep doing my best.
