March Updates From Meeru Island Resort & Spa

Warm greetings to you all from Meeru Island!

The month of February blessed us with cloudless skies, endless sunshine and cooling sea breezes. It is also a great month of the year to catch up with many of our returning guests who chose the month of February for their Maldives vacation. A special welcome and thank you to our dear friends: Mr Solaas who joined us for his 39th visit, and Mrs Mueller who returned for the 34th time.

In February the amazing marine activity continued around the waters of Meeru Island with regular sightings of the Mantas during our yacht trips, amazing sports fishing excursions and daily appearances of the playful dolphins on the sunset cruise.

We have now inaugurated the new and improved Meeru futsal pitch with an enhanced lighting system for night time play. So next time you stay with us, please feel free to come and join the Meeru staff for a friendly game of futsal under lights in the cooler evening climate. A special thank you to the Directors of Meeru Island for the fantastic upgrade to our already outstanding sports facilities.

Here at Meeru, we are always glad to receive our valued guests’ feedback, and in an effort to reduce paper usage we have created an online version of our guest questionnaire that can be accessed via the WiFi log-in homepage here on the island. This will enable us to stay up-to-date with what our guests are enjoying while also giving us insight as to how we may improve our services for your next stay.

Start The New Year With Meeru Magic

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Meeru Island Resort & Spa!

As we begin the new year of 2019, I would like to thank all of our dear friends and guests of Meeru for your continued support and patronage.

Thanks to your support, especially in the form of outstanding reviews and feedback, Meeru has once again been awarded the TUI Holly Award 2019. This is the highest accolade that can be awarded to a hotel or resort by the worldwide TUI Group of travel companies.

This year, we will continue our subtle enhancements around the resort and evolve our offerings and continue our work on revitalising the coral reefs with our coral nursery and planting around the lagoon. These initiatives will ensure the beauty and comforts that have made Meeru so memorable for over 40 years will only get better.

In addition, we will have several new and exciting events planned throughout the year, and we look forward to sharing them with you through our monthly newsletters and our Meeru Facebook and Instagram channels.

New Romantic Private Dining Experience at Meeru Island

Greetings from our happy & sunny tropical Island paradise Meeru!

 

It is always nice to get in touch with all of you and I would like to take the opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for the feedback that we receive from you around the world. Meeru is always improving the guests’ experience, which is one reason why so many repeat guests choose to return to our beautiful Island paradise. The month of August is starting with something new for all of our guests.

 

Meeru Adventure Snorkeling – A brand new snorkeling excursion is available for our guests to enjoy as a part of our excursions program. The exciting trip to two of the best reefs in the atoll starts at 0900, right after your breakfast in one of our stunning buffet restaurants, Farivalhu and Maalan. You will be back on the Island at 1200 to enjoy the delicious choices at our lunch buffet. This snorkeling excursion with our experienced guides will bring you to the spots that you were dreaming of and if you are lucky, you will spot some Sea Turtles and even Rays may cross your path.

 

0.8 Athiri Dinner – Celebrate your romance under the stars on Meeru’s powdery beach and soothing sound of waves coming to the shore with our new 0.8 Athiri Dinner. Athiri means “beach” in local language and this dinner is a very unique Maldivian way to treat your loved one in a special beach set-up. The glistening sky, flickering candle light and swaying palm trees add a charming touch to your private dining experience. The dinner features a five course set menu with an enchanting setup and the perfect ambiance to propose to your loved one, celebrate an anniversary or simply luxuriate in each other’s company.

 

After a very thrilling Inter Resort Volleyball Tournament in July, the current focus of the sport activities and supporters is on the recently started Inter Open Cricket Tournament 2018. Players and supporters from all departments and interested guests are gathering at Meeru’s football pitch to join for some exciting matches. Take the chance during your next stay to cheer for our staff during our alternate events, as well as to enjoy the Meeru Magic and lovely atmosphere.
